Start here

Reload the video page after installing or updating the extension.
Hover directly over the video and use a clear wheel notch.
Open the popup and confirm the current exact hostname is enabled.
Check whether a modifier, fullscreen, or focused-player activation mode is selected.

Include in a report

The page URL and browser version.
Whether the video is embedded, fullscreen, a Short, or a live stream.
Your activation mode, step size, and YouTube strategy.
What happened to both the volume and page scroll.
